Harmony in Conservation Phobjikha Valley
Phobjikha’s charm lies in the beautiful and wide valley that is home to the endangered Black Necked Cranes in winter and the co-existence of the communities and the birds in perfect harmony. Believed to be sacred and a blessing for the valley. The Royal Society for Protection of Nature has adopted the Phobjikha valley as a conservation area and focus on protecting the cranes through programmes designed to benefit the communities through tourism while the communities act as guardians of the conservation efforts.
