Deriving its name from two words, ‘Aman’ meaning ‘peace’ in Sanskrit and ‘kora’ meaning ‘circular pilgrimage’ in Dzongkha, (Bhutan’s language), Amankora Resorts combine contemporary design with traditional features, along with an indulgent spa and impeccable dining. Wood-panelled suites feature a combined lounge and bedroom furnished with king size bed, Bukhari (wood-burning stove) and a large terrazzo-cladbath. Amankora BhutanThe Amankora lodge in Paro is nestled among glistening conifers in a 24-suite pine forest retreat.
